Dan, is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at UT Houston. He serves as an attending physician at the LBJ and Memorial Hermann Hospital Emergency Departments. He is dual sub-specialty board certified in Clinical Informatics and Emergency Medical Services. He previously worked as an Assistant Medical Director for the Houston Fire Department where his work focused on prehospital research and informatics. Prior to working in Houston, Dan trained in Emergency Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California after completing his Medical Degree at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Philosophy from the University of Scranton.
He currently serves as Vice-President of the OpenEM Foundation, promoting and creating digital educational resources and supporting WikEM. For WikEM.org he serves as Head of Software and Deputy Editor. He actively publishes educational books and peer reviewed publications.
